3D Web

July 8, 2008

Back in the days of 56K modems, there were simulations on the Web that took forever.  Cable of course came first to the bigger cities.  Now we have (as of today) Vivaty, which is a 3d simulation, each simulation scene with its own URL.  That means you can link to other addresses on the Web.   If this works–this will require massive amounts of server time, for one thing–it would nearly eclipse Facebook.  Except for one thing.  You can decorate your virtual room with things from Facebook.  I’d assume the clientele would top out agewise at about 30, basically.
